Two children were injured Friday when the roof of a skating rink collapsed, emergency officials said.
The roof of the rink at Okhta Park, on the outskirts of St. Petersburg, partially caved in, possibly due to heavy snow accumulation, said Tatiana Striganyuk, deputy head of the St. Petersburg regional emergency services department.
The collapse is the latest in a series this winter in Russia that included the disaster at a Moscow market that killed 66 people, a store roof collapse in Tyumen that killed one, and the fall of a market roof in Kazan that also killed one, reports the AP.
