Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen met with French President Jacques Chirac on Monday as part of a 10-day overseas tour.
Hun Sen was expected to sign agreements on bilateral cooperation with France and to ask the French government to appoint its judges for a proposed genocide tribunal for surviving leaders of the Khmer Rouge, a presidential adviser said.
The Cambodian prime minister was due to meet with French business leaders Tuesday before leaving on Wednesday, according to the AP.
Hun Sen arrived in France on Saturday, after taking part in the Sept. 14-16 World Summit at the United Nations in New York.
