Duma ratifies military accord with Belarus

The State Duma has ratified an agreement between the governments of Russia and Belarus on joint logistic support of the united military group of armed forces of the two states. The agreement was signed in Moscow in December 2002. It was developed according to the agreements on creating the Russia-Belarus Union State and on ensuring military security in the region. Some 420 deputies supported the ratification with 2 abstentions.
