Menatep head says his case is frame-up

Menatep head Platon Lebedev is going to strive for justice in Russia till all means of defense are used up. At the same time, he will use his right to appeal in international organizations for protection of human rights and freedom, including the European Court of Human Rights. Lebedev made a corresponding statement in the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow. "Having analyzed the materials of the frame-up case against me, I have not found legal grounds and evidence for the prosecution," he said. According to him, the General Prosecutor's Office is wasting its time trying to determine his relations with decent people in Russia and abroad, whose reputation is recognized by the international community. Lebedev has come to the conclusion that authorities are repressing him for political or other reasons.
