The new catalogue of export products issued by the federal state unitary enterprise Rosoboronexport contains descriptions of 90 models of naval weapons and equipment, head of the company's press service Alexander Smelyakov told journalists.
The catalogue's presentation was held on Friday at the 1st International Naval Show in St.Petersburg.
The book is published in English and offers tactical and technical parameters of 7 submarines and 17 surface ships that are produced in series at Russian and foreign dockyards on the order of foreign partners, Smelyakov explained.
Apart from this, the catalogue presents 18 newest projects of different kinds of naval equipment worked out by Russian engineering office. This section demonstrates "family of small and super-small submarines adjusted for the littoral zone, as most of the fleets now focus on the actions in such zones," Smelyakov said.
The catalogue also includes description of anti-ship systems, anti-aircraft and anti-submarine missiles, artillery systems of medium and small caliber "able to meet the requirements of the most demanding customers", he pointed out.
As an example he named the Medvedka anti-ship small-size missile system and the RPK-8 multi-barelled reactive anti-submarine system. "This is the world's only weapons system that uses missiles with a gravitation guidance control principle," he emphasized.
The catalogue also offers a broad range of ship electronics /19 projects/ and coastal electronic systems, including "a very powerful system, the Podberezovik over-the-horizon radar location extra-early warning station".
All these samples of Russian naval products are worthy to represent Russia on the world weapons market and allow Russian producers to feel fairly confident despite the growing international competition, Smelyakov pointed out.
