Gazprom posts 2002 net profits

According to Gazprom's consolidated accounting report, the company's net profit for 2002 amounted to RUR121.598bn (nearly $4bn), up 21 percent against 2001. Revenues from sales of goods and services, excluding excise duties, the VAT and similar payments, grew 4.3 percent to RUR613.745bn (about $20.2bn). These figures were calculated in accordance with Russian accounting standards.
