The Russian government has introduced permanent import duty rates for imported cars that were made in a foreign country more than 7 years ago. The rates will come into force on July 4. The Government Information Department reported that Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov signed a respective resolution of June 6.
As it was reported earlier, the government set import duty rates for imported foreign-made cars that are more than 7 years old at EUR1.4-3.2 per one cubic centimeter of displacement volume, depending on the total displacement. The duty rates were then introduced for 9 months. This time it was decided to make these rates permanent.
