Russia's mobile operator reports significant rise in net income

The net income of Russia's mobile operator SONET increased 4 times in 2002 against 2001, to $8m, SONET General Director Vladimir Morozyuk announced at a press conference today. Revenues of SONET increased by $14m and reached $55m and ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) amounted to $65. The SONET trademark belongs to Personal Communicates, a subsidiary of MTU-Inform. It renders CDMA mobile services.
