Role of Trans-Siberian trunk railway in development of cooperation between countries of Asia-Pacific region

An international scientific-practical conference devoted to the role of the Trans-Siberian trunk railway in the development of cooperation between the countries of the Asia-Pacific region has opened in Vladivostok. As officials of the Territorial administration said, more than 40 leading experts from Russia, the Republic of Korea, the PDRK, the PRC, Mongolia, Japan, Austria and Greece are taking part in the work of the conference.

It is envisaged to pay prime attention to discussing the possibilities of the Trans-Siberian trunk railway in the development of the East-West-East transport corridor and to the prospects of reanimating the Trans-Korean railway to subsequently link it to the Trans-Siberian railway.
