Fulfilment of "Energy Efficiency and Safety in CIS" project discussed in Moscow

The fulfilment of the international project "Energy Efficiency and Security in the Commonwealth of Independent States" is the topical issue of the 12th session of the CIS Economic Council held on Friday in Moscow.

The earlier recommendations have been used as a basis for a draft agreement on cooperation in energy efficiency and saving, the CIS Executive Committee press service told RIA Novosti. The agreement aims at synchronizing activities for working out and implementing energy saving projects, technologies, equipment and materials.

The session is also considering the creation of an informatization council, whose necessity is becoming more and more evident, according to the Executive Committee.

The Economic Council will pay special attention to the plan of fulfilling the innovation policy concept that seeks to create an integral interstate innovation system.
