Police: Moscow Region official may have been killed by his lover

Operatives of Moscow’s Criminal Investigation Department have detained several suspects in connection with yesterday’s murder of Yuri Vlasov, the chief justice official of the Moscow Region. The names o the suspects are not disclosed. As has already been reported, the bodies of 43-yearold Vlasov and his 30-yearold driver were found in the wee hours of March 11th in the apartment belonging to Mr. Vlasov’s mother on Krasnostudencheskaya in Moscow’s north. There are already several leads put forward by the investigators, most preferable of which being robbery, professional activity. Domestic violence cannot be rules out, either. According to the investigators, Mr. Vlasov may have been acquainted with one of his killers who was allegedly his lover. According to this lead, Mr. Vlasov himself invited his friends-turned-killers to see him. During their drinking session, a quarrel broke out which led to a tragedy, the investigators say.
