The last attempt to elect the President of the country failed in Moldova. This time the elections were upset due to deputies of four parliamentary fractions: the Democratic party, the Democratic Convention, The Party of Democratic Forces and Christian Democratic Party. They just boycotted the sitting of the Parliament for electing the President. Today the special committee again, for the fourth appointed another date of the elections: 2001 January 16. The second round, if it is necessary, will take place January 19. But it seems that Moldavians are so tied of constant elections, that in the near future will be happy to live without a president at all. In USA the “presidential scandal” lasted a month. In Moldova it has began six months ago. What next?
