Federation Council approves state symbolism laws

The Federation Council has approved the law of the State Anthem of Russia using the music written by Soviet composer Aleksandrov. 144 senators voted for this decision, 1 was against, with 2 abstentions. Also, the Federation Council approved the law of the State Emblem of Russia, with 139 votes for, 2 against, and 8 abstentions, RIA Novosti reports. Besides, the law of the State Flag was approved, with 139 votes for, 1 against, and 3 abstentions. 147 senators approved the law of the Flag of the Armed Forces of Russia, with 1 abstention.
