LEONID KUCHMA CALLS OLEKSANDR MOROZ’S ALLEGATIONS LIBEL

Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma has called methods employed by Oleksandr Moroz “unacceptable and inadmissible.” Mr. Kuchma leaves it to his discretion to take “adequate measures up to defending its honour and dignity in court,” the statement issued by the presidential press service says. The statement was distributed yesterday in connection with the publicizing by the Social Party leader Oleksandr Moroz of audiotapes allegedly confirming President Kuchma’s involvement in the disappearance of journalist Georgi Gongadze, Interfax reports.
