Chechen power structures officials are sentenced to death in their absence

All Chechen officials of power structures in Chechnya received formal letters from “the Shariat court of Ichkeria” recently. It was suggested in the letters that the officials should leave the service before November 15 and “break off with Russia’s authorities”. The officials who refuse to do it, are considered to be sentenced to death in their absence, the letters says. This threat particularly concerns the heads of settlements administration, “Itar-tass” announces. The authors of the letter claim that the order to execute the death sentence was given to all the “Chechen commanders”.
