KIDNAPPED INDIAN FILM STAR SET FREE
One of India's most dramatic hostage crises has come to an end with the release of top film star Rajkumar. The star, aged 72, has been held in a forest hideout for more than three months by one of the country's most notorious bandits, Veerappan. India's Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, has confirmed the release, describing it as happy news.
