ANATOLI BABKIN APEARS IN COURT

Professor at Moscow’s Bauman Polytechnical University Anatoli Babkin, who is the main witness in the Pope case, has appeared at the Moscow City Court. According to investigators, it is he who passed secret documents to Mr. Pope. Earlier, Professor Babkin’s lawyer said his client would not be able to attend court hearings because of poor health and also because he reneged on his testimony. Now it appears not so. Professor Babkin’s leter in which he allegedly reneges on his earlier testimony has still failed to reach the court.
