Russia resumes deliveries of natural gas to Yugoslavia

The major Russian gas company, Gazprom, has resumed deliveries of natural gas to Yugoslavia. It broke off supplies in June because of debts of more than three hundred million US dollars owed for earlier supplies. During a visit to Moscow last week by the new Yugoslav President, Vojislav Kostunica, President Putin announced that supplies would resume shortly, BBC reports. But Gazprom only restored the supply today Thursday after Belgrade made new pledges to clear the debt.
