A prosecutor says that the report about Babkin’s wife is a forgery

Today at Edmond Pope’s trial the state prosecutor Oleg Plotnikov said that a story of Galina Babkina, the wife of university professor, which had been reported by NTV yesterday was a “forgery” aimed to put pressure upon the court. Plotnikov also said that this woman in reality was not a wife of professor Anotoly Babkin. “Pope’s case is turning into a scandal” – concludes Pope’s lawyer Pavel Astakhov, cited by “Interfax”.
