Russia is not raising the question of joining the European Union so far, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at a press conference devoted to the results of the Russian-EU summit held in Paris today. He stressed it is not time for this yet. At the same time, Putin said that Russia will try to develop economic and trade relations with members of the European Union and countries that are planning to join it. As of now, the trade turnover of Russia with these countries is 51% of Russia's total trade turnover, Putin announced, cited by RBC. He also noted that Russia is a part of Europe from a cultural and economic point of view.
