BLAZE TRACED ABOARD THE KURSK
As a result of the crash, a strong fire apparently broke out onboard the submarine Kursk, said Vladimir Navrotski, press service chief of Russia’s North Fleet. In his words, among the four recovered bodies there are those “burnt and disfigured,” RIA Novosti news agency reports. “Apparently, when everything was collapsing, it was beating on the head and body, Mr. Navrotski added. As has already been reported, one of the dead sailors was identified by a note found in his pocket.
