A gas pipeline burst on Thursday in the Vologda region, the North-western Russia, NTV television reported, quoting the regional Department of Russian Emergency Ministry. Pressurised gas began leaking from a pipeline and burst into flames. The burst was followed by a huge fire as gas flared up almost 40 meters high. According to preliminary information, nobody was injured. In the meantime, specialists are discussing the possibility of supplying customers from a reserve gas pipeline, The “Russia Journal” informs. A special commission is investigating the reasons of the incident.
