“Kursk”: The half of work is done

Russian and Norwegian divers have already done 50% of their work that is to cut out an aperture in the hull of the 8th compartment of the “Kursk” submarine, the press-service of the Northern Navy announces. For the secure penetration of the divers inside the compartment an aperture 120 m lengthways and 110 m in breadth is being cut out. Meanwhile the weather forecasters of Murmansk region gave a notice of gale, “Interfax” reports. According to the document, “unfavourable weather conditions are expected”.
