Russia, Afghanistan Are Partners - Afghan Ambassador

Russia and Afghanistan "are partners and our relations are of a strategic nature," the ambassador of the Islamic State of Afghanistan, Abdul Wahab Asefi, has told a press conference in Moscow. He said the Dushanbe meeting of the presidents of Russia, Tajikistan and Afghanistan was of historic importance. Its decisions will help restore stability and return peace to Afghanistan, he said. The diplomat said Russia and Afghanistan continue struggling international terrorism side by side. He pointed out that the government of the Islamic State of Afghanistan has not asked the Russian leadership for direct military assistance, specialists or military advisers. "The United Front has enough of them," Asefi said.
