Russia "has taken a firm decision to enter the World Trade Organization and it will be carried out," Russian President Vladimir Putin told the visiting session of the World Economic Forum in the Mariott Grand Hotel on Tuesday. Russian steps on entering the WTO should "meet the interests of the national economy, Putin stressed. Russia "will not agree to enter the WTO on non-standard conditions," Putin said. According to the Russian President, "we shall not agree to demands which were not made to other countries". Unfortunately, Russia "has to face such problems now," he said. At the same time, Russia regards the negotiations with the WTO "with optimism".
