The State Duma voted: to withdraw immunity from deputy Vladimir Golovlev

The Russian Federation State Duma (the parliament) voted to withdraw the deputy immunity from the Union of Rightist Forces faction member, deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee for budget and revenues, Vladimir Golovlev. The Duma gave its agreement to the Office of the Prosecutor General to call Vladimir Golovlev to the criminal account, to carry out investigatory and searching measuring towards him.

The State Duma also considered the question to withdraw the deputy immunity from Golovlev yesterday as well, but the deputies’ decision was negative. Today there were 387 deputies, who voted for that, while there were 226 votes needed to pass the decision. The Office of the Prosecutor General intends to call Golovlev to the criminal account, having charged him of the financial abuse during the period, when he was working in the Chelyabinsk region.
