Members of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) intend to discuss the process of Russia joining the World Trade Organization with the President. RSPP Chief Arkedy Volsky declared this in an interview with RosBusinessConsulting today. This meeting was scheduled for the end of November. The final version of the agenda of the meeting will be approved at a session of the RSPP's Board on November 14. According to Volsky, tariff policies and matters concerning taxation and currency regulations will be among the main issues discussed by officials. But the key problem will be Russia's membership in the WTO. "We should make a final decision here," he added. "This will sure require plenty of time and efforts. But we have to elaborate on a common point of view, as there are as many opinions about this issue, as people." The RSPP thinks that Russia should enter the WTO, but it may take at least two years.
