On November 15, Terrorist Raduyev Will Be Brought To Trial In Makhachkala

Terrorist Salman Raduyev has been deported from the Lefortovo detention centre in Moscow to Makhachkala, the capital of Daghestan (a North-Caucasian republic within the Russian Federation). The terrorist will be brought to trial on November 15, and the trial will be chaired by Baguzhi Unzholov, a judge of the Daghestani Supreme Court. Raduyev's accomplices, i.e. Turpal-Ali Atgeriyev, ex-vice-premier of Chechnya, Aslanbek Alkhazurov and Khusein Gaisumov, who have also been brought to Makhachkala, will be in the dock together with him. The four terrorists are accused of organising and participating in the Chechen separatists' attack on the town of Kizlyar and the village of Pervomaiskoye in Daghestan on January 9, 1996. The attack was accompanied by heavy casualties among the civilian population, many women and children were taken hostage. Daghestani law-enforcements are taking special measures to ensure security during the trial.
