VLADIMIR PUTIN TAKES CARE OF OUR VETS IN BALTICS

Today, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin signed the degree of the measures aimed to support the veterans of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) permanently residing in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The head of state ordered to enlarge the scope of the presidential decree of April 30th, 2000, of a single-payment grant on the occasion of 55th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) to pensioners who are Russian citizens permanently residing in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia to cover GPW veterans and subsequently unmarried widows of those died in the war permanently residing in the three Baltic republics receiving no pension under the Russian law. This is how unintelligibly ITAR-TASS conveys the content of a good presidential decree. Sounds like double Dutch, isn’t it?
