Police arrest suspect linked to June 22 terrorist attacks on Ingushetia

Malsagov suspected of taking part in the June 22, 2004 attack on a government building in Ingushetia (Russian republic neighbouring Chechnya) has been arrested by the Ingush Interior Ministry's Department for Fighting Organised Crime, a source in the Interior Ministry told RIA Novosti on Monday.

97 people were killed when a large terrorist group attacked Ingushetia in the early hours of June 22. The victims were mainly police officers.

Malsagov was arrested when police checked on relevant reports from locals. Law enforcers found 3 Kalashnikov sub-machine guns while searching the suspect's flat in Nazran (ex-capital of Ingushetia), according to a source.

Police have launched investigation.
