A temporary camp of gunmen discovered in Chechnya

In the course of search operations officers of the district interior department have discovered a temporary camp of gunmen in the Kurchaloi district of Chechnya.

RIA Novosti learned on Wednesday from the Internal Affairs Administration for Chechnya that the camp of the gunmen was discovered on the previous day near the settlement of Malye Shuani, where they found and confiscated 48 discharges for grenade launchers, 18 grenades, 10 sub-machine gun magazines, over 4,000 cartridges of different calibre, a Kenwood radio station, 17 power supply units for radio stations and two tents.

Apart from that, the operatives discovered a cache with two home-made explosive devices, a grenade launcher, over 1 kilo of explosives and about 300 5.45mm-calibre cartridges.

Criminal search officers found on the administrative border between Ingushetia and Chechnya a cache from which they confiscated one grenade launcher, 280 shots for an anti-aircraft installation and four mines.
