Russia To Set Up Field Hospital In Afghanistan

In a step to bring humanitarian aid to war-torn Afghanistan, the Russian Public Health Ministry has moved to set up a multifunctional field hospital on the ground run by the All-Russian Protection Center for Medicine of Disasters. A medical team has been put together with a wealth of experience in emergency relief behind. The team comprises various medical specialists, including surgeons, therapists, infection specialists, anaesthesiologists, resuscitators, and paramedics with an experience of work in field hospitals. To ensure smooth running of the hospital, it comes complete with 1,400,000 rubles worth of medical equipment, such as breathing equipment, oxygen concentrators, surgery kits, resuscitation equipment, medicines, and dressing materials.
