One of the destroyers - Laboon - has already approached the Libyan coast, the other one - McFaul - will be there in a few days. The two warships are armed with Tomahawk cruise missiles, said NTV. According to the military, the ships will remain near the Libyan coastline.
An FBI investigation team will also arrive in Libya soon, The Voice of America said. According to unconfirmed reports, the U.S. will intensify the collection of intelligence information in Libya, including with the use of drones.
Meanwhile, diplomatic personnel leave Libya. The entire staff of the consulate in Benghazi will be transported to Germany. In addition, it was decided to reduce the number of employees of the U.S. embassy in the capital, Tripoli.
