Nizhny Novgorod region modernizes production

Specialists of the Austrian company Poerner Group have arrived in the Nizhny Novgorod region to meet with representatives of largest companies of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The guests from Austria will also conduct meetings with residents of the Nizhny Novgorod business incubator.

A representative office of the company is likely to be established in the region for easier implementation of investment projects, in which Poerner Group participates. The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region is interested in the modernization of existent production facilities.

"Today, at the meeting with Austrian colleagues, we discussed the possibility of creating a representative office of Poerner Group in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This will contribute to the implementation of investment projects in the industry of the region, Deputy Governor Yevgeny Lyulin said. "The modernization of industrial production in the region will increase production volumes at Nizhny Novgorod companies. This will in turn raise income for employees of those companies and create new jobs."

The Austrian company has already implemented a project for the introduction of new technologies for the production and packaging of bitumen. The project was conducted at LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez.

According to Poerner Group Vice President Gerhard Bacher, the Nizhny Novgorod region is a region with a developed industry, including chemical, petrochemical and oil processing industry. The region is therefore of great interest to Austrian business people. Mr. Bacher also thanked the administration of the region for arranging the visit and making it possible.

Against the backdrop of nationwide recession in the industry, production volumes in the Nizhny Novgorod region have grown during the current year. In ten months of 2015, the physical volume index in the region amounted to 101.9 percent.
