The show will based around a group a contestants hoping to fly into space, who will go through qualifying rounds in which they have to overcome all kinds of hurdles. According to the Russian Space Agency, ORT will be responsible for organising the competitions and financing the programme, although experts from Rosaviakosmos will be involved if the competitions involve any extreme elements.
The winner of the competition will undergo a special training course identical to that which professional astronauts pass through, with the exception of specific elements connected to an individual astronaut's specialised field. The show's finale - the flight into space - is provisionally planned for October-November of next year.
