Medical Phenomenon: Pakistani Boy Has Two Livers

Doctors strongly recommend the boy to be very careful as the extra liver is situated immediately under his skin
During an operation on the diaphragm, surgeons discovered one more healthy liver in the chest of a 11-year-old Pakistani boy Imran Tariq. The Pakistani state-run television reports that the operation that lasted for 5 hours in a hospital in Rawalpindi was a success; the extra liver was lowered to the stomach.

For a very long period, traditional Pakistani healers, khakims treated the boy for tuberculosis and pneumonia. Since his early childhood the boy suffered from pains in the chest, heavy breathing and couldn't eat solid food. Finally, parents took the boy to a private medical center. Doctors took a roentgenogram of the boy's chest but professional physicians failed to notice one more liver because phenomena of this kind were never registered in medicine before. It is only after beginning of the operation that one more liver was discovered in the right part of Tariq's chest.

Now the boy stays in a rehabilitation ward; he feels good. For the first time in his life Tariq has an opportunity to taste solid food. Doctors strongly recommend the boy to be very careful as the extra liver is situated immediately under his skin. They think Tariq should better be a donor and sell the spare organ.
