Former media tycoon Vladimir Gusinsky who is in hiding has taken a plane from Gibraltar to Israel Tuesday night. According to the local mass media, the former Russian oligarch who in on the Interpol's "Wanted" list, told journalists before his departure that he hoped he would not be subjected to "judiciary persecution" in Israel. The judiciary authorities of Spain Monday ordered the return to Gusinsky of the ransom money in the amount of six million dollars and lifted all restrictions from him. Last Sunday, the Russian Prosecutor-General's Office charged Gusinsky under Article 174, part 3, of the Russian Criminal Code with laundering illegitimately obtained 2.8 billion rubles. Interpol's Russian National Office issued a new international arrest order and sent it to the Interpol national offices in other countries. The previous charges of grand swindle have not been lifted, either.
