Possibility of inviting a foreigner as chief coach of Russian football team discussed

President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vyacheslav Koloskov has held consultations with his colleagues from Italy, Spain, England and France, discussing possible candidates for the chief coach of the Russian football team.

It is difficult to speak of chances of a foreign specialist to take the post, the RFU president said to a RIA Novosti correspondent. "Everything depends on his name," he said.

There are about 10 great coaches in the world now, but "all of them are engaged," Koloskov believes. "There is no sense" in employing a mediocre specialist, as "they are not superior to their Russian colleagues," he said.

The idea of inviting a foreign coach appeared after the Russian team's failure at the World Football Cup this year.
