Cuban leader Fidel Castro holds a record on assassination attempts on him.
US media write that there have been several dozens of assassination attempts on Castro, according to other sources, there have been …637 attempts either to kill Castro or discredit him. Both CIA and Cuban counter-revolutionary organizations failed to implement the plans to kill Cuban leader with poison, bombs and bullets. Relatively “harmless” assault attempt when the CIA agent intended to deprive Castro of his beard, failed as well.
The biography of lance-corporal of Bavaria infantry regiment Schicklgruber who later became known to the world as Hitler, is really amazing as well. During the World War I he marvelously avoided death many times. He was wounded at Ipr and Somm twice and was awarded by Iron Cross for courage twice. One night he suddenly awoke, got out of the dug-out and started waling along the neutral line. He came to himself only when the only accidental shell hit the dug-out which he just exited. Nobody inside the dug-out survived.
When he was the leader of Germany and had party nickname Hitler, thoroughly planned assassination attempt on him was made on November 8, 1939 in the bar where Hitler made a speech on the party anniversary every year. Powerful charge was planted in the column, the timing was calculated second by second, but that evening Hitler suddenly departed after receiving phone call, first time in several party anniversary, and 7 of Nazi party members were killed and 63 – wounded by the explosion.
The most well-known assassination attempt on Hitler was made on July 20, 1944. Colonel Claus Shenk von Staufenberg put the bag of explosives near the Fuhrer’s feet, but somebody else moved the bag behind the table by accident. German intelligence general Canaris and his subordinates planned assassinating Hitler three times, and every time they failed.
According to my calculations, only one of 10,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 people could have Hitler’s destiny which is impossible as there have not been not only so many people, but also living creatures, including microbes and bacillus on our planet for the time of its existence.
Hitler was fond of mysticism and sorcery, and he was not surprised with his being in luck as he believed in his destiny. Could the devil guard and protect Hitler in his life? All Fuhrer’s biography reveals invisible presence of some divine power assisting him. Fascist generals wrote that Hitler made many unpredictable and illogical decisions and always won until the was turning point – Stalingrad battle when the Third Reich lost its hope for winning the war and the devil seemed to burn itself in the Stalingrad dixy.
Many times the horses were killed under Napoleon and Kutuzov, their aides and generals were blown up by cannon-balls, but the famous commanded always avoided death despite not being at risk many dozens of times. Lieutenant Napoleon always went in attack in front of his soldiers, but was never injured. Being a general, he also led attacks.
In the Soviet Union Stalin held the record of assassination attempts on him. He oppressed millions of people, and many people wanted to revenge him. In May, 1935 pilot Nikolai Blagin crashe the wing of biggest aircraft in the world ANT “Maxim Gorky” with his fighter plane I-5. There were rumors that the pilot thought that Stalin and the other government members were on the plane, but did not know that, despite the announcement made earlier, engineers and workers and their family members were on that plane.
On June 27, 1937 fighter plane pilot Oleg Kapitonov crashed his plane only 200 meters away from Stalin’s country cottage (dacha). Probably, there were also attempts to poison the “peoples’ chief”; there are chronicles that the spies tried to put the mine during the demonstration on the Red Square in Moscow; the armed group which was about to reach Stalin’s dacha.
One can remember about amazing luck of former Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze who was attacked with the use of all kinds of small arms, at least twice. In 1998 3 grenades fired from under-barrel grenade cup discharge, hit his vehicle, but the “Old Dog-Fox” (Shevardnadze’s nickname) stayed alive.
