EU works on new sanctions against Crimea. Russia's Crimea may face more sanctions

EU authorities plan to impose additional sanctions on the Crimea, officials in Brussels say. 

As reported by Reuters, the EU plans to bar the peninsula from tourist business and ban exports of oil and gas exploration. In addition, EU citizens will not be allowed to purchase or finance Crimean commercial companies.

According to the Vedomosti, it is not clear yet, whether the new sanctions are going to be ready for the summit of EU leaders on December 18-19. The summit will be conducted under the chairmanship of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Notewhrthy, the EU banned imports of goods from the Crimea, new investments in transport infrastructure projects, as well as in telecommunications and energy sectors.
