Islam to become world's largest religion. Christianity loses

Islam may become the largest religion in the world, researchers at Pew Research Center in the United States believe.

According to them, the number of those practicing Islam will grow larger in the coming 50 years vs. the number of adherents of other religions.

Thus, experts believe, by 2050, the number of Christians and Muslims will be approximately the same - 31,4% and 29,7% respectively. By 2070, Muslim believers will outstrip the followers of шерук religions, the researchers believe.

Presently, many people in the world turn to Islam due to active social propaganda or ideology. Over the last year, many European women joined ISIS under the influence of someone else's opinions, Pravda.Ru reports. 

The predominance of Muslim believers by 2070 will be a historic moment for mankind, the researchers say. At the same time, the number of Buddhists will remain the same, Pravda.Ru says.
