The headquarters of the Federal Security Service (FSB) in Magas, capital of Ingushetia, was blown up today. As learned by Rosbalt at the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs here, it was first thought that the building was rammed by a truck driven by a terrorist who died in the blast. Later reports said the blast was set off in a small RAF-type truck parked near the FSB building. Estimates of the dead and injured ranged between 10 and 20. Among the dead, early reports said, was a senior FSB officer for the Chechen Republic. Nearby homes and office structures were destroyed, early reports said. City and law-enforcement representatives are on the scene, and rescue efforts are being mounted.
