Two Jacksons are better than one

I have tried hard not to add to the media feeding frenzy covering the Michael Jackson trial by writing about the accused child molester. Sure, I have been tempted at times over the last year. The material Jackson gives writers is phenomenal. It is hard to pass up.
 
I am sure most people by this time are tired of hearing about the trial. After all, 24 hours a day cable and Internet news coverage is a little too much to handle. So up to now I have abstained from adding to the monotony. However, the latest development in Michael's perverted soap opera in Santa Maria, California has caused me to reconsider my self-imposed ban on writing about Jackson.
 
The reason: Reverend Jesse Jackson, the champion of civil rights, is now spiritually advising Michael Jackson during daily morning phone calls to the Neverland Ranch. So I have to ask myself: Whey would the good Reverend bother?
 
According to reports, Michael Jackson, the accused child molester, apparently spends most of his time playing with children at his Neverland Ranch. I'm not a psychiatrist, but I think Jackson really believes he is Peter Pan and that Tinker Bell and the rest of the Lost Boy's are on some great adventure flying around Neverland fighting Captain Hook.
 
Why else would he show up in court wearing pajamas? He must have been up all night fighting Captain Hook.
 
The only problem with Jackson's fantasy is that Captain Hook in reality is District Attorney, Tom Sneddon. And if Jackson loses his battle with Hook he could end up playing Diana Ross in the cell of a very large, love starved, convicted murderer.
 
I'm sure there are people out there who believe Jackson is innocent of the child molestation charges leveled against him. I tend to think he is guilty. In my opinion any grown man who has pajama parties with young children in a king sized bed, is a freak of nature and should spend the rest of his life in prison. Even if he is found not guilty.
 
I think most rational people, including Jesse Jackson, feel the same way. How can any grown man justify what Michael Jackson has done? Sleeping with young boys is not natural. So I wonder why Jesse is taking such an interest in Michael.
 
Money is the only logical answer.
 
Jesse Jackson, the “evangelical corporate ambulance chaser”, has been involved in almost every civil rights cause, whether real or imaginative, over the last forty years. Now he can add protecting the rights of a child molester to his civil rights resume.
 
As expected, Reverend Jackson has already played the race card, setting the tone for a racial protest if the outcome of the Jackson trial is a guilty verdict. He recently said he thought it is unfair that there are no black members on the Jackson jury. He fails to mention that blacks make up only 1.87 percent of the population of Santa Maria. So statistically, Michael is getting a jury of his peers.
 
Over the years Reverend Jackson has never been far from controversy, always using civil rights causes for personal gain. Following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., Jackson claimed that he held King in his arms and heard his last dying words. Others present at the murder disputed these claims. By all accounts he lied. That lie catapulted Jackson to the world stage.
 
Later Reverend Jackson, a man of God, admitted that he fathered a daughter out of wedlock. His confession came as no surprise since his womanizing over the years was legendary to those close to him. Jackson paid the mother of his child a lump sum payment of $35,000 and an additional $3,000 per month for child support.
 
I don't know many reverends around the country who can afford child support payments of $3000 per month. For the record: most preachers would not have a child out of wedlock in the first place.
 
I guess Jackson's schemes of shaking down corporate America over the years helps finance his infidelity.
 
In 2001 Jackson shook down Toyota Motor Sales USA by threatening an economic boycott of the company. Toyota agreed to spend $7.8 billion on a variety of programs to increase the hiring and training of minorities as well as the amount of business conducted with minority-owned equipment suppliers and advertisers.
 
I wonder how much of that money found its way to the Rainbow Coalition.

Other claims about the Reverend Jackson are that he threatened another economic boycott against Anheuser Busch, Inc. to help his two sons gain a lucrative Budweiser distributorship in Chicago. He is also said to have opposed a merger between telephone companies GTE and Bell Atlantic until the companies paid a million dollars to his Citizenship Education Fund.
 
All in all, Jesse Jackson has built quite a corrupt resume and made millions of dollars through racial extortion over the years. His empire rivals and in some ways mirrors that of the Gambino crime family. Not very good behavior for a man of God.
