The Muslim men tried to escape through the woods but were caught by Serb forces, executed and buried in a mass grave, officials said.
The mass grave was found in the woods near the village of Biseva, in the outskirts of the eastern Bosnian town of Sekovici. The bodies had their hands tied with wire and telephone cable, said Murat Hurtic, the head of the forensic team. Hurtic said he expected more victims will be uncovered in the next few days, the AP reports.
In 1995, Serb troops overran the eastern Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica, which had been declared a safe zone by the United Nations, and killed as many as 8,000 Muslim men and boys. Before the town fell, thousands decided to try escape through the woods. Most made it to safety, but others were caught and executed.
