Hillary Clinton has almost $14 million for re-election

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has nearly $14 million (Ђ11.67 million) in the bank for her 2006 re-election campaign after raising more than $5 million in recent months, aides said late Friday.

Polls in New York state have shown the Democrat far ahead of her declared rival, Republican Jeanine Pirro, in next year's race for senator.

National polls have Hillary Clinton as the front-runner for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, AP reports.
