New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer sued a second insurance broker Friday as part of his investigation into the insurance industry, saying Universal Life Resources Inc. received much of its revenues from special "payoffs" and fees that insurance carriers paid to place business.
Spitzer's lawsuit says the employees at many major companies, including Viacom Inc. and UPS, paid higher premiums because of ULR's practices.
