Kazakhstan to supply uranium to South Korea

Kazakhstan and South Korea have signed an agreement on peaceful use of atomic energy, a memorandum on cooperation in the energy and mineral resources spheres, and an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of communications. According to the agreement on atomic energy, Kazakhstan will supply uranium to South Korea, Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev declared at a press conference after negotiations with his South Korean counterpart Roh Moo-hyun. In addition, the sides have signed a memorandum on cooperation in the development of oil fields in the Caspian region.
