Armenia Delays Debt Repayments to Russia

The Russian government has proposed postponing the deadline for Armenia to transfer shares in several companies to Russia. The share transfers are to repay Armenia's debts to Russia. According to the Armenian government's press office, the final deadline has been put back from April 5, 2003 to September 5, 2003. By transferring the shares, worth USD 90 million, Armenia will fully repay its debts to Russia.
