In Mosul Americans Open Fire on Crowd After Shouts in Support of Saddam Hussein

On Wednesday the American military guarding the administration building in Mosul opened fire on a crowd after they heard cries in support of Saddam Hussein. Referring to witnesses, a member of the personnel of a hospital complex on the outskirts of Mosul reported this by telephone to the RIA Novosti correspondent.

He specified that somebody of the crowd was trying to get inside the administration building.

Two Iraqis have been killed and several wounded.

Meanwhile, earlier the Arab electronic newspaper al-Bawwaba reported that three Iraqis were killed and 11 wounded as a result of the fire opened by the Americans in Mosul on Wednesday. Al-Bawwaba said that the crowd was storming the building, in which a new city governor was found.

Earlier, at least 10 Iraqis were killed also by fire opened by American army men in Mosul. That crowd was protesting against the appointment of an American protege as the municipal chief, the Arabian media said.
