Russia and Great Britain Share Some Views on Iraqi Issue

Russia and Great Britain share some views on the Iraqi issue, Foreign Ministers Igor Ivanov and Jack Straw said at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday.

They agreed upon the UN role in post-war Iraq.

The ministers expressed satisfaction that the Oil for Food Programme had been reactivated in the UN Security Council and Resolution 1472 approving the principles of international humanitarian law had been passed.

Ivanov and Straw will continue exchanging views on the Iraqi issue.
